These pans are okay but I wish I had not bought this one again as I finally seem to understand why the bottom gets black dots. Like another reviewer, it is impossible to clean as well as I would like, even with a mild cleanser powder, I could not remove the spots. I notice that if I m not scrupulous, bits of food gets stuck in cracks in the bottom of the pan, if not removed, they turn black. I think it has to do with the quality of steel and likely a great deal due to the manufacturing process. I have several really great frying pans from All Clad that are so great in that they clean up with so much ease that they are like non-stick only easier as they do not absorb oils as the non-stick do. At any rate, no matter what I cook in these high-level steel pans, they clean perfectly. Unlike the steel pans from RevereWare. I bought at the same time as this 1 quart sauce pan, one from Cuisinart which cleans up much better than this RevereWare. I will buy the Cuisinart pan in future.
